Jakks Pacific

The toymaker and its costume subsidiary Disguise have inked a deal with Spin Master to create a new range of products based on PAW Patrol: The Movie. Jakks will make vehicles, ball pits, tents, activity tables and kids furniture, while Disguise works on costumes, costume accessories and trick-or-treat kits. Most of the new products will roll out ahead of the animated film’s release in August 2021, with costumes hitting shelves this fall.

PAW Patrol: The Movie is produced by Spin Master Entertainment, and it will be broadcast by Nickelodeon and distributed by Paramount Pictures.

USA Skateboarding

Speaking of Spin Master, the toyco is airwalking into a new partnership with USA Skateboarding, the sport’s national governing body.

Spin Master’s Tech Dek brand of mini skateboards, which kids manipulate with their fingers, will launch 10,000 exclusive USA Skateboarding-branded boards ahead of the Olympics in July. The line will also financially support USA Skateboarding’s STEM curriculum for kids, which was created in association with the Smithsonian.

Spin Master partnered with the organization in order to tap into the growing interest in skateboarding ahead of its debut at the upcoming Olympics, according to a release.

tonies

Audio entertainment system tonies has partnered with kids media platform GoNoodle to launch a smart speaker that enhances GoNoodle’s mindfulness and meditation content.

The device plays music and audio content when kids connect toy figurines to it. Available through both partners’ websites for US$99, the GoNoodle x tonies Mindfulness Starter Set Toniebox (pictured) features 35 minutes of audio content from GoNoodle, including bedtime stories and mindfulness and movement songs.

The audio company has also inked a deal with Licensing Link to add UK-based Pipkins Productions’ preschool series Monty & Co to its content catalogue next summer.

Cloudco

LA-based Cloudco has inked a raft of North American licensing deals for Care Bears ahead of the brand’s 40th anniversary in 2022. New licensing partners include Bentex (apparel), Komar (sleepwear), Mad Engine (apparel), Handcraft (underwear), Concept 1 and H.E.R (accessories) and ACI (footwear).
