Former Banijay Rights exec Tim Mutimer will join Cineflix as the new CEO of its global distribution arm, Cineflix Rights.
Based in London, Mutimer will step into the role this summer after current CEO Chris Bonney retires, according to a Cineflix Rights spokesperson.
Leading the distribution unit’s 30-person team operating from offices in London, Toronto and Dublin, Mutimer will report to Cineflix Media co-founder and co-CEO Glen Salzman.
Mutimer’s portfolio of responsibilities includes selling proprietary kids content such as Cineflix Productions’ 20 x 30-minute series Pet School. But he’s also charged with distributing a third-party catalogue that features Finestripe Productions’ 60-minute movie Whizz Kids, and LMNO Cable Group’s My Kid’s Smarter Than Me (one-hour special) and Animal Kidding (17 x 60 minutes).
Prior to joining Cineflix, Mutimer was EVP of EMEA at Banijay Rights, where he previously served as CEO from 2014 to 2020. His career in distribution also includes a stint at the BBC as SVP of EMEA.
