The UK’s Beyond Rights will manage international distribution (excluding Italy, Spain and Latin America) for new Italian preschool toon Nina & Olga.
The 2D-animated series is a co-pro from Italy’s Enamination and Mondo TV Producciones Canarias. Italian public broadcaster Rai has already pre-bought a 52 x seven-minute first season, and will launch the series this year on its kids channel RaiYoyo and VOD platform Rai Play.
Based on the long-running Olga the Cloud book franchise from Italian writer/ illustrator Nicoletta Costa, Nina & Olga stars a young girl who goes on adventures to learn about the world with her best friend, who happens to be a little cloud. Enamination (Mini Ninjas) acquired the development rights to the preschool-skewing books in 2019.
Last month, Beyond inked a deal to manage Saffron Cherry Productions’ mixed-media series The World According to Grandpa (25 x 11 minutes). And in distribution news, it recently sold Netflix original Beat Bugs to Disney Japan and The Wacky Word Show to the ABC in Australia.
