ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI) has appointed Olivier Jollet as its first-ever SVP of strategy and business development for streaming and head of mobile.
He reports to Kelly Day, VCNI president of streaming and COO, and Jeff Shultz, ViacomCBS’s chief strategy officer and chief business development officer of streaming. Jollet will be responsible for developing the company’s streaming strategy and securing partners to drive growth.
His remit also includes growing VCNI’s mobile business by helping the company navigate new tech developments including 5G networks and connected devices. Based in Berlin, he will work with ViacomCBS’s global content, distribution, marketing and finance teams to create a unified approach to streaming and lock in new distribution and content partners.
Before his promotion, Jollet was SVP of emerging business for ViacomCBS Networks EMEA and Asia, and SVP of mobile for VCNI. He also served as managing director of Europe for Pluto TV for four years, launching the AVOD in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Austria. And prior to that, he co-founded OTT service Quazer, which was acquired by Pluto in 2016.
Jollet takes on the new role ahead of CBS All Access rebranding as Paramount+ on March 4. The purpose of the revamp is to include all of ViacomCBS’s brands on one platform, including original series from Nickelodeon.
