After four years with Cyber Group Studios USA, president and CEO Richard Goldsmith is about to depart. His last day is on January 2.

Goldsmith ran the US office for the Paris-based company, with a portfolio of responsibilities including media distribution, consumer products and managing development and production in North America, China and Australia.

Goldsmith also oversaw the company’s direct-to-consumer operations, and spearheaded the acquisition of businesses and IPs and the pursuit of other opportunities that have benefitted the company globally. Recently, he inked a deal with Scholastic to adapt the popular book brand Press Start! as an animated series that will be produced out of Cyber Group’s LA studio.

There was no word at press time on Goldsmith’s next move.

Before joining Cyber Group in 2017, Goldsmith served as EVP of global distribution at The Jim Henson Company for five years. And prior to that, he worked at Warner Bros. Entertainment in a variety of positions ranging from SVP to executive advisor.
