UK’s Wonderborn Studios has acquired prodco Three Arrows Media, the creator of many BBC Children’s series, such as The Baby Club (CBeebies), Andy and the Band (CBBC/CBeebies) and Treasure Champs (pictured, CBeebies).
Wonderborn Studios is an expanding kids and family media group, specializing in development, production and distribution of family entertainment and educational media. The acquisition is part of its strategic plan to grow significantly over the next few years, according to a statement.
Founded in 2015 by David Hallam and Jon Hancock, Three Arrows Media will become a subsidiary of Wonderborn, operating under its own banner. Hallam and Hancock will stay on with the company.
Wonderborn’s CEO Toby Hughes said in a statement that he plans to grow Three Arrows and invest in the brand so it can create more IPs and content. In 2017, Hughes joined Three Arrows Media board as a non-executive director and took a minority stake in the company.
