Genius Brands adds president of global brands

Marc Rosenberg joins the company to expand its portfolio of kid properties through global licensing and content sales efforts.

LA-based Genius Brands has appointed Marc Rosenberg as president of global brands and chief marketing officer.

Beginning in the role today, Rosenberg is charged with growing the company’s portfolio of children’s properties. He will be responsible for content sales and overseeing global licensing efforts.

Most recently, Rosenberg worked as CEO of The Edge Desk, a workspace furniture company he founded. He has previously served as chief marketing officer at Zizzle, where he lead product launches for toy lines connected to Pirates of the Caribbean and High School Musical. Rosenberg has also held roles with Hasbro and Tiger Electronics earlier in his career.

This hire is the latest in a number of recent appointments at Genius. Jessica Brinder recently joined the company in a newly created role as VP of international distribution, bolstering its sales team. And Michael Uslan was brought in as an advisor to oversee and develop Genius Brands’ new universe of superhero IPs.
