Nelvana
LA-based distributor Cinedigm has signed a multi-year deal with Nelvana to stream six of the prodco’s kids series on its Dove and CONtv channels. Cinedigm picked up Babar (13 episodes), Braceface (13 episodes), Pippi Longstocking (26 episodes), Rescue Heroes (13 episodes, pictured) and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast (13 episodes).
Playmates Toys
YouTubers Vlad and Niki (52.4 million subscribers) have appointed Dallas-based Playmates Toys as their worldwide master toy partner. The sibling influencers have daily adventures that span toy play, music and comedy. Negotiated by Retail Monster and talent agency Haven Global, the deal will see Playmates Toys launch a range of products including action figures, roleplay gear and indoor/outdoor accessories in summer 2021.
Mondo TV
Italy’s Mondo TV is growing the consumer products reach of animated shows MeteoHeroes and Invention Story, setting up Toronto-based Branding Streams as its North American distributor. MeteoHeroes (52 x seven minutes) is an environmentally-focused superhero series, while Invention Story (104 x 11 minutes) follows a group of animals who make gadgets to help solve everyday problems.
Monster Entertainment
Australian broadcaster Nine Network has picked up Sunrise Productions’ animated series Jungle Beat from distributor Monster Entertainment. The 91 x seven-minute non-dialogue series will air on 9GO! starting September 20. In addition to the broadcast deal, Banter Toys will now serve as the exclusive distributor for Jungle Beat toys and licensed products in Australia and New Zealand.
Miniteve
Baltic broadcaster TV3 has inked a deal to add Swedish prodco Miniteve’s collection of preschool-skewing videos to its Go3 SVOD platform. Available now, the 350 doc-style shorts explore different animals, vehicles and things to do during playtime.
