Having found some success with adorable green creatures so far, Disney+ has picked up the second and third season of Cyber Group Studio’s Gigantosaurus.
The first season of the CGI-animated show will be available on both Disney+ and Netflix, and will begin airing on the latter in spring 2020.
Season one also runs on Disney Junior, France Télévisions and Super RTL (Germany), which have all picked up the additional 104 episodes from the Paris-based prodco.
Set in a prehistoric land, four young dinosaurs go out on adventures attempting to discover the secrets of the biggest and fiercest creature of all…the Gigantosaurus. Aimed at kids four to six, the series was picked up by Disney Junior Worldwide in 2017 and began airing earlier this year.
Beyond the show, Cyber Group has been building the show’s brand as well, signing a deal with Templar for the global master publishing rights, which plans to release more than 40 TV tie-in books throughout the next two years. Jakks Pacific also signed on as global master toy licensee for the show back in 2018, producing a line of preschool playthings.
