Paris-based producer Cyber Group Studios has partnered with Warsaw’s indie video game developer BTC Studios to develop, market and distribute new games based on its IP.
Under the terms of the agreement, BTC Studios will be creating interactive mobile, PC and console offerings for Taffy (pictured), Sadie Sparks and The Pirates Next Door.
Two mobile games, Taffy: Feed the Kitty and Taffy’s Food Run are already in production and will be released in Q2 2020. Within the next six months BTC plans to start development on the next games. The 78 x seven-minute series is a slapstick comedy based on an original creation from Cyber Group and developed with Turner. It has since been released on Boomerang worldwide and will soon launch on Disney (Germany) and France Télévisions.
Former Disney VP and MD at Disney Interactive EMEA Thierry Braille, who joined Cyber Group in March 2018 is leading the efforts on the new partnership. When he first started, he was tasked with building digital strategies for Gigantosaurus, Sadie Sparks, Zorro The Chronicles, ZOU and Taffy.
A video game based on Gigantosaurus is already in the works from licensed kid video gamemaker Outright Games. The partnership was signed in February, to create a video game based on the preschool CGI series for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
