Scott Dyer, the president of Corus-owned kids company Nelvana, is retiring and Pam Westman is stepping in to take his place. The current head of Nelvana Enterprises, Westman will take over as the president effective August 30.
Dyer has been the company for 22 years, working his way up from EVP of production and development at Nelvana in 1998 all the way to president in 2016. His experience includes executive producing the show Rolie Polie Olie, investing in and deploying digital animation technology, and cultivating co-production partnerships.
Westman, meanwhile, has been head of Nelvana Enterprises since 2016, leading the content slate and playing a role in building up its licensing business. She has 20 years of experience within the kids industry, including roles at Kids Motion and HIT Entertainment.
Dyer will remain on as a consultant for one year to help the transition.
