LA-based producer/distributor Cloudco Entertainment has tapped Sam Partner as VP of international content distribution. Starting on June 20, he is based in London and reports to Cloudco’s managing director of its UK office Karen Vermeulen.

Before joining Cloudco, Partner worked as the SVP of kids and sales at Australia’s Beyond Distribution for German-speaking Europe, Scandinavia, Benelux. Prior to that, he was the head of sales at UK prodco Indigo Film and Television, and the media account manager at The Pokémon Company International, where he was responsible for handling broadcaster accounts and negotiating TV and film deals. He has also worked as the sales and new business development manager for Warner Bros. and Sony Picture’s joint venture Filmbank Distributors, a provider of in-room entertainment to the international hotel market. Partner was also the sales and new business development executive for Freemantle Media.

Cloudco has been investing in sales by expanding its exec team in the last year after the company rebranded from American Greetings Entertainment.

Following the rebrand, Cloudco opened its UK office and bolstered its sales team with a number of executive hires, including Karen Vermeulen as head of global content strategy and co-production, as well as managing director for the London office.
