Sesame Workshop and WarnerMedia lead The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA)’s 2019 International Licensing Award nominations, with six apiece. Sesame’s nods come in a year it is also celebrating its 50th anniversary, while WarnerMedia topped the nominations thanks to its Harry Potter brand.
Whittled down from 622 submissions from 19 countries, 154 nominees were recognized in categories spanning licensing, retail, promotions and consumer products. For the first time, submissions and judging for the awards were held online.
