TVOKids celebrates more It’s My Party

The regional Canadian broadcaster has ordered a second season of Bristow Global Media's live-action cultural celebration series.

Canadian broadcaster TVOKids has greenlit a second season of Bristow Global Media’s (BGM) series It’s My Party!

The upcoming 13 x 22-minute is set to air on TVOkids in Q3 and will be available for streaming on It is produced with financial support from the Shaw Rocket Fund and the Canada Media Fund, and distributed internationally by Distribution360. The show guides young viewers through different cultural celebrations including Diwali, Kwanzaa and Hanukkah.

To accompany the upcoming season, Toronto-based BGM is working on expanding companion game Party Time!, which lets kids explore, customize and design celebrations by mixing and matching elements from the different events the show covers. Developed in collaboration with digital-content creator Relish Interactive, it was one of’s top-performing games of 2018, with 95% of kids who started it playing through to the end, according to BGM. Part of the expansion involves a contest that asks kids to share their favorite family or cultural festivities for a chance to star in an episode of the show.
