Paris-based producer and distributor Cyber Group Studios is partnering with India’s Aadarsh to co-produce, distribute and license the new animated preschool series Purple Turtle. Inspired by the educational IP of the same name, the new 52 x seven-minute show promotes determination and independence as it follows the adventures of a turtle, chameleon, rabbit, bird and bear.

Cyber Group Studios is teaming up with Aadarsh and Ireland-based Telegael to bow the series on TV and digital platforms, and will handle licensing, merchandising and publishing globally (excluding MENA and Asia except for China).

The first Purple Turtle title launched in 2012 and the brand has since expanded into a number of print formats—including picture books, board books and smart books with interactive features—as well as apps and games.

In other Cyber Group news, the company is partnering with Outright Games to launch the first video game inspired by Gigantosaurus for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. The video game will feature the show’s four dinosaur heroes as they take on a new action-focused story and engage with series-inspired locations. The CGI-animated preschool series bowed on Disney Channel and the DisneyNOW app on January 18.
