France’s Studio 100 Animation has inked an agreement with Cosmos-Maya in Singapore to co-produce new 2D-animated series Galactic Agency (pictured), which Gulli France has already signed on to premiere.

Production begins this year on a first season (52 x 13 minutes) of this adventure-comedy for ages six to nine about a team of extreme repair specialists aboard a spaceship.

In other Studio 100 news, Disney Channel Russia has picked up CGI-animated action series Arthur and the Minimoys to launch in April. The show is based on children’s fantasy novels and the Arthur movie trilogy created and directed by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element). It was co-produced by Besson’s Storia TV with Studio 100 Animation, Lagardère (France) and Disney Channel Germany, premiered on Tiji in 2017, and has since sold to broadcasters in 80 territories, including, Dadi Media (China), Gulli (France), OUFtivi (Belgium), Disney Channel (Germany), RAI (Italy) and TVP ABC (Poland).

Munich-based Studio 100 Film has also sold the theatrical, home video, VOD, pay-TV and free-TV rights to animated pic 100% Wolf to Mexican distributor Cine Video y TV. The film centers on the heir apparent in a long line of werewolves, who unexpectedly turns into a pink poodle instead of a bloodthirsty wolf.
