WildBrain expands to Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Roku

DHX's digital kidsnet is launching new channels for preschoolers, kids action content and Degrassi, as well as a central WildBrain hub.

DHX Media’s WildBrain is launching four new North American channels on AVOD platforms Apple TV, Amazon Fire and Roku, spanning a WildBrain hub and three curated channels dedicated to preschool, kids action content and Degrassi. More genre-specific content will be added each month, however the initial offering includes Teletubbies, Tiddlytubbies, Kiddyzuzaa, Sonic, In the Night Garden, Super Mario and Inspector Gadget.

WildBrain’s YouTube network currently features 145,000-plus videos in 22 languages, representing more than 600 kids brands. From July to September 2018, one-third of the 830 million-ish kids worldwide with access to YouTube watched at least one video on the WildBrain network.

Continuing to expand its offering, WildBrain recently signed two agreements to manage YouTube channels for the Smurfs and German toyco Playmobil.
