Russia’s Animaccord has been named master agent for animated preschool series Cleo & Cuquin and will manage licensing, media rights, advertising and promotional activities, and digital efforts including apps and YouTube opportunities in Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic and Polish.
The show follows along as Cuquin gets into trouble and his big sister Cleo gets him out of it. Animaccord acquired rights to the first two seasons, which include 78 episodes and 30 musical clips. Cleo & Cuquin is produced by Anima and is based on classic cartoon Familia Telerin, which was created in the 1970s by José Luis and Santiago Moro.
Discovery Kids acquired broadcasting rights to the show in Latin America in 2017, and Televisa Consumer Products has already signed a number of deals in Mexico with consumer products partners including Lala Milk, Atlas Mattresses and Fotorama.
