The Toronto, Canada-based prodco has hired Donna Luke to oversee production and business affairs not only for marblemedia, but also its Distribution360 distribution arm. Luke has previously served as a supervising and line producer on Canadian productions such as The Bachelorette Canada and Project Runway.

marblemedia has plans to amplify its production and explore new content and revenue opportunities in the next year, with Luke playing an integral part in as VP of production. The company also intends to boost its kids presence going forward.

As a producer, Luke’s most recent supervising producer gig was on the new marblemedia series Blown Away, which is launching on Netflix and Makeful in Canada later this year. A co-production with Blue Ant Media, the 12 x 30-minute series tags along as a group of glass blowers across North America perfects their craft.

Prior to that, Luke served as a supervising producer and line producer on Canada’s Next Top Model and The Real Housewives of Toronto, as well as The Bachelorette Canada and Project Runway. She also spent eight years at BBC Television in management positions for news, current affairs, televisions features, drama series and natural history.

This hire follows on the heels of marblemedia tapping Kelsey Aikman as its new director of marketing and communications. And both moves come in the wake of the company expanding its kids portfolio with 19 new shows from D360, including 15 from Toronto’s Skyship Entertainment.
