Josie Grierson has left her production & program manager position at Channel 5’s Milkshake! to join eOne as director of creative affairs for the family & brands team.
Based in London, she started in her new role this month, and will be focusing on growing eOne’s family & brands development slate. The growth of the division, which has turned out the high-performing Peppa Pig and PJ Masks brands, helped eOne to offset a 7% drop in revenue from its film & television division for the first half of 2018, according to a recent financial report. Revenue generated by the family & brands division grew by 29% to US$97.5 million in the first half of this year.
Prior to joining eOne, Grierson served in various roles at Channel 5 before moving up to production and program manager four years ago. The preschool block has undergone quite a few changes in the past couple of years, including a full refresh in 2017. The Viacom-owned channel remodeled to sport a new logo, a special week-long programming event and the launch of its first-ever YouTube channel. Milkshake! is now being led by former Disney Channels programming director for the UK and Ireland Louise Bucknole, who is now VP of programming for Nickelodeon UK and Milkshake!
