BBC is decking the halls, loading up its iPlayer with nearly every season of 29 TV shows for kids and families ahead of Christmas this year. On top of popular shorts like The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo’s Child, there are also several CBeebies series including CBeebies Prom and The Tortoise and the Hare: A CBeebies Ballet.

Most of the offerings will be available as of December 12, with all seasons of the listed series included unless otherwise stated. The full list includes 64 Zoo Lane (season four), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Alice in Wonderland, Billionaire Boy, Bob the Builder (season nine), CBeebies Prom, CBeebies Prom: A Musical Journey, Gangsta Granny, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Grandpa’s Great Escape, Mr Stink, Patchwork Pals, Peter Pan, Puss in Boots, Rastamouse (season one), Room on the Broom, Something Special at the Proms, Stick Man, The Boy in the Dress, The Elves and the Shoe Maker: A CBeebies Ballet, The Gruffalo, The Gruffalo’s Child, The Highway Rat, The Snow Queen, The Tale of Mr Tumble, The Tempest, The Tortoise and the Hare: A CBeebies Ballet, The Ugly Duckling, and Three Little Pigs: A CBeebies Ballet.

On top of the 29 kids and family offerings, iPlayer is also adding more than 70 adult comedies, dramas and factual series at the same time including Outnumbered, Bodyguard and Killing Eve.

The move comes after the UK pubcaster commissioned a raft of digital teen content earlier this year that will live on its iPlayer to keep pace with VODs such as Netflix and YouTube.
