Beano alum Chris Rose (pictured) has joined Nick International as VP of animation production and development, a role recently vacated by Alexi Wheeler, who is now part of Netflix’s kids and family team.
Starting in his new position at Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) in the UK today, Rose will head up the internal and external animation development and production teams for Nickelodeon International. He will report to SVP of international production and development Nina Hahn.
Rose most recently headed up development and production of long-form television, film and theater productions for London’s Beano Studios (Dennis and Gnasher: Unleashed). And Prior to joining Beano in March 2017, he served as a children’s TV commissioning editor for ABC Australia, where he developed and executive produced content for the pubcaster’s ABC ME and ABC KIDS children’s channels.
Rose has also previously worked as VP of programming and development at HIT Entertainment, and as a content and acquisitions manager for CBeebies. His kids TV credits include The Flamin’ Thongs, The Kazoops and The Deep.
