Global digital content distributor Kedoo Entertainment is jumping into the original content business with the launch of Kedoo Originals, a new programming drive that will see the company focus on acquiring, developing, co-producing and distributing children’s animated programs.

Announced today at the seventh-annual Asian Animation Summit in Seoul, South Korea, the originals initiative will be led by Kedoo COO Olivier Bernard and provide content to digital platforms including Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Roku, Yandex, and Dailymotion.

To date, Kedoo’s represented producers account for more than 28 million subscribers, with combined content generating a billion-plus monthly views across YouTube, Yandex, Roku, Facebook, Amazon and Dailymotion. The company is also a digital trends specialist and analyses over 40 million channels daily.

The announcement follows a raft of new deals by Kedoo for 3D Sparrow’s animated comedy series Booba (pictured), including a two-year worldwide agreement with Netflix and a global distribution deal (excluding China) with Ireland’s Monster Entertainment.
