Animated comedy co-pro Space Chickens in Space is gearing up to roll out on Disney XD EMEA this month, starting in the UK and most European, Middle Eastern and African countries on November 19, before joining the lineup in Israel at a later date.
The 52 x 11-minute series for six- to 11-year-olds is co-produced by CAKE (UK), Anima (Mexico), Studio Moshi (Australia) and Gingerbread Animation (Ireland), and it debuted on Channel 9 in Australia last month. Originally commissioned by Disney EMEA in June 2017, alongside 101 Dalmation Street and Gigantosaurus, the toon stars a trio of chickens enrolled in an intergalactic military academy.
This year, the kidcaster has greenlit Vikingskool (produced by Cartoon Saloon, Samka Productions and Storm Films), which it plans to launch in late 2019.
