Hit kids show creators Daniel Good (Waybuloo) and James Fox (Skatoony) have teamed up to launch a new company called One Good Fox that will offer development, production and consultancy services on entertainment projects for preschoolers to teens.
Based in Worthing, England, the studio intends to serve as a hub for writers, artists and producers under the leadership of Good (pictured, right) and Fox (pictured, left), who will develop original and third-party properties, as well as write scripts and storyboard.
Good and Fox bring more than 30 years of combined experience to the venture. For his part, Good created BAFTA-nominated CBeebies series Waybuloo, Floogals for Channel 5 and Universal Kids, and two seasons of Wissper for Channel 5 and Nickelodeon.
Fox, meanwhile, is a former Turner Broadcasting exec who created and served as showrunner on Cartoon Network’s popular live-action/animated quiz-show sitcom Skatoony (104 x 22 minutes) during his tenure as director of original production and development.
The launch of One Good Fox follows the UK government’s announcement of a new US$78-million (£60 million) Contestable Fund aimed to strengthen locally produced original children’s TV content.
