Turner’s Cartoon Network is checking in for its first hotel experience. In partnership with California-based Palace Entertainment, Cartoon Network Hotel is set to open its doors next summer in Pennsylvania, featuring characters from Adventure Time, We Bare Bears and The Powerpuff Girls.
The nine-acre hotel will boast 165 rooms and a number of immersive experiences incorporating character animation and show themes that can be customized depending on a family’s preferences. It will also have a water play zone, an outdoor amphitheater, lawn games and an indoor play area.
The hotel project marks the first time that Palace Entertainment has partnered with an international brand on a lodging property. The company currently owns and operates over 20 amusement parks, water parks and family entertainment centers in the US and Australia.
This Cartoon Network Hotel news comes on the heels of the kidcaster making moves to expand its live and location-based offerings. Earlier this year, Turner inked a licensing partnership with The MAJ Group to develop a 10-acre CN theme park in Bali, and the company has also joined forces with Singapore-based cruise management company Oceanic Group to launch a branded Cartoon Network cruise ship.
