Sutikki, the kids and family division of Bento Box Entertainment, has tapped DHX Media-owned digital kids network WildBrain to manage the YouTube channel for its Kuroba! brand globally (excluding China).
The girl-skewing brand began rolling out this summer with collectibles and accessories from master toy partner Playmates Toys, as well as with a YouTube series.
WildBrain is taking over the channel and rights management of Kuroba! on YouTube, and is set to launch more than 70 minutes of new animated content on the streaming platform as part of its efforts to develop a wider global audience for the brand.
The agreement comes as new toys—with battling abilities inspired by “rock-paper-scissors”—are set to launch at Walmart locations across the US later this month. Targeting six- to nine-year-olds, the Kuroba! brand features collectible, customizable creatures that battle.
