Mattel has signed a raft of new broadcast partnerships for its series Thomas & Friends across Europe.

The 26 x 11-minute show’s new season Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures! premiered on Nick Jr. in the US in March and on Channel 5’s Milkshake! in the UK in September. New broadcast partners include Cartoonito (Italy), Minimini (Poland), RTL Telekids (Netherlands), VTM Kzoom (Belgium), AMC Minimax (Eastern Europe), Hop! (Israel) and Channel One (Russia).

Previously announced partners include Televisa (Mexico), TV Cultura (Brazil), Super RTL (Germany), ABC TV (Australia) and Corus Entertainment’s Treehouse Network (Canada).

The new season features a lineup of more inclusive characters and also sees Thomas speaking directly to viewers for the first time. Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures! was announced earlier this year after a partnership with Mattel saw the iconic IP move from its longtime PBS home to Nick Jr.
