California-based Genius Brands is partnering with seasonal retailer Spirit Halloween for a new Rainbow Rangers direct-to-retail program. Spirit will be creating costumes and accessories based on the preschool brand available at its more than 1,300 stores in North America and online beginning this month.
Rainbow Rangers debuts this fall 2018 on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. US and the Caribbean Basin. The 52 x 11-minute CGI toon follows Earth’s First Responders as they save the environment with their unique powers.
Previous licensing agreements include Mattel’s Fisher-Price as the master toy partner, creating dolls, plush, vehicles and interactive toys. GBI also recently signed three new US partners for the preschool brand including Berkshire Fashions (outerwear), Disguise (Halloween costumes) and Ceaco (puzzles).
