Target is launching an exclusive range of consumer products inspired by Nickelodeon’s animated preschool series Nella the Princess Knight. The collection includes toys, role-play items, apparel and home décor.
Select products are available now, and the full collection will roll out in stores and on Target.com in August. Prices range from US$4.99 to US$39.99.
Nella the Princess Knight premiered in the US in February 2017 before launching on international Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels the following April. The 40 x half-hour series follows eight-year-old Nella as she embarks on daring quests to save her kingdom. Each episode features a social-emotional curriculum that promotes empowerment, inclusivity and compassion for others.
Last year, UK-based Vivid Group was named global master toy licensee (excluding the US) for the brand.
In other Target news, New York-based Mego Corporation will launch its classic action figure line exclusively with the retailer in August. The first wave from the Marty Abrams presents Mego range will include characters from brands like Star Trek and DC, and will be produced in a limited run of 10,000.
