Warner Bros. Animation is launching Looney Tunes Cartoons, a series of new short-form cartoons based on the studio’s iconic property featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig and more. The new content initiative will be distributed to multiple platforms including digital, mobile and broadcast starting in 2019.

Each season will be comprised of 1,000 minutes of animation made up of one- to six-minute episodes created by multiple cartoonists in various styles.

Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, the new toons will feature some of the veteran voice cast members including Eric Bauza (Marvin the Martian), Jeff Bergman (Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck) and Bob Bergen (Porky Pig, Tweety Bird). Sam Register (Teen Titans Go!) and Peter Browngardt (Uncle Grandpa) serve as the executive producers.

The revival of WBA’s iconic characters follows not long after longtime Nickelodeon vet Audrey Diehl was hired on as VP of series with the mandate of developing new animated shows as well as overseeing current series aimed at kids and families. Warner Bros. Animation is also busy creating new original content for Turner’s SVOD Boomerang, with Yabba-Dabba Dinosaurs! and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? both set to land on the platform in 2019.
