Toronto-based Spin Master is launching Party Popteenies today, a new line of collectible dolls and accessories designed to look like party favors and gift boxes.

The four party-themed toys are packaged in such a way that kids have to pop them open like a Christmas cracker, complete with a sound effect and confetti, before seeing what’s inside. The offerings include the Surprise Popper, Double Surprise Popper, Party Surprise Box Playset and Poptastic Party Playset.

The line includes more than 25 collectible dolls within three different party themes: Winter Wonderland, Cutie Animal and Rainbow Unicorn. Aimed at ages four and up, each product will cost between US$5 and US$25 at retail.

To go along with the product launch, Spin Master is also rolling out a custom song and music video entitled Everyone’s Invited, which includes a signature dance routine as the toyco tries to capitalize on kids’ propensity for viral two-steps such as dabbing and flossing. The video features Heaven King and Piper Rockelle, whose dance videos have been viewed millions of times on YouTube.

Spin Master has had a lot of success recently with its Hatchimals line. Having launched in in October 2016, the brand has now spawned a full-on licensing program including smaller collectibles, as well as publishing program following an agreement with Penguin Random House.
