The toyco is launching the newest addition to its Fingerlings range in Canada, Australia and the UK this month, before the raptor-like line hits US shelves in May.

Montreal, Canada-based toyco WowWee is unleashing its newest animatronic toy, Untamed.

Featuring an initial set of raptor-like figures, the Untamed by Fingerlings range is currently available for pre-order in Canada, Australia and the UK, with retail rollouts slated for those regions in the coming weeks. Untamed will also hit US shelves in May.

The newest addition to WowWee’s Fingerlings line, Untamed features four characters (Stealth, Blaze, Fury and Razor) with unique personalities. The raptors boast snapping jaws, gripping claws and more than 40 different sounds and animations. Each figure reacts to touch, motion and noise, and it’s up to kids to decide if they want to tame their raptor.

Retailing for US$14.99 apiece, the raptors range follows the success of Fingerlings’ monkey, sloth and unicorn lineups.

WowWee introduced its Fingerlings robotic animal characters in 2017. Initial Fingerlings sold more than 100,000 units in the US within a week of their August debut and have since been crowned Toy of the Year by the Toy Industry Association. The toyco is also partnering with Quebec-based studio Squeeze to create a short-form Fingerlings series for YouTube.
