Jumping on board the rising popularity of augmented reality games, Universal is set to launch Jurassic World Alive, a new AR title created in partnership with Canadian mobile developer Ludia.

Jurassic World Alive will bow globally this spring for iOS and Android devices, ahead of the film release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in June.

The game lets players roam around the real world and interact with virtual dinosaurs using location-based technology and augmented reality. Exclusive dinosaurs and creatures featured in the franchise’s first and second films will be available for players to find, collect and take videos with. Players can pre-register for the game online now.

Jurassic World Alive comes as Universal continues to bolster its toy offerings for the Jurassic World sequel. The company recently teamed up with The LEGO Group to launch construction sets, animated content and lifestyle goods that are set to hit Toys “R” Us and Walmart shelves next month.
