HBO Europe has snapped up eOne’s preschool properties Peppa Pig (pictured) and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom for its HBO GO streaming service in Central Europe.

Season one of both series is available in the SVOD service’s kids section in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Romania. The toons will then bow on HBO GO in Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Macedonia and Bulgaria this spring.

Both Peppa Pig and Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom are produced by UK animation studio Astley Baker Davies. Last May, eOne greenlit the production of 117 new Peppa Pig episodes, which will air from spring 2019 through to 2023.

Peppa Pig, particularly, has been on global spree lately, landing on Nordic broadcasters NRK (Norway), DR (Denmark), YLE (Finland) and SVT (Sweden) this past summer, and then heading to Japan’s TV Tokyo and Germany’s Super RTL in more recent broadcasting deals. The brand continues to be a powerhouse for eOne, with total retail sales of US$1.2 billion in fiscal 2017 (up from US$1.1 billion in 2016) and licensing and merchandising revenue of US$59.3 million.
