London-based distributor CAKE is taking animated series Pablo global with a raft of new broadcast deals. Picking up the series, which premiered on CBeebies and RTÉJr this past October, are Universal Kids (the US), SVT (Sweden), YLE (Finland), ABC (Australia), Hunan (China), CJ E&M (Korea) RTHK (Hong Kong), Showmax (Africa) and Netflix (in multiple territories).

Produced by Paper Owl Films in association with Kavaleer Productions and Ingenious, Pablo joined CAKE’s portfolio last September. The 52 x 11-minute series follows the world of a five-year-old boy who is on the autism spectrum. Using his magic crayons, Pablo can head out on adventures featuring the characters he draws.

A second season has already been commissioned by CBeebies, with six interactive games previously released and a slate of short films also underway.
