Universal Brand Development and online creative network Tongal are marking the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park‘s theatrical release—as well as the upcoming June premiere of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom—with a user-generated contest.
Beginning this month and ending in April, compilation videos of the best user-generated content submissions will be posted to various Jurassic World channels including YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, as well as JurassicWorld.com. The compilations will be posted every #ThrowbackThursday.
Fans are invited to submit videos that see them relive or recreate their favorite moments from the Jurassic Park film. Those who recreate new moments are encouraged to use animation, illustration, toys, costumes, special effects and more to remake a scene from the film.
Participants can submit their videos at JurassicWorld.com/JP25 until January 22. Up to 48 winners will be awarded US$250 and Jurassic Park prizes. Their videos will be shared with fans across multiple channels. Two grand-prize winners, meanwhile, will be selected to receive US$1,000 as well as branded products and a DVD set.
In addition to the content contest for fans, the 25th anniversary will also be celebrated with a number of product collaborations and live events. Additional information on the user-generated content campaign and its official rules are available online.
