Arizona-based kids and family SVOD Kidstream has made its debut on Amazon Channels. The service launched on Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand platform earlier this year, and is now available to Amazon Prime members for US$4.99 per month.

Ad-free Kidstream can be accessed online and on mobile devices for subscribers at the Amazon Channels site. The SVOD is owned by Brandvida and features more than 100 hours of series from studios like Canada’s Breakthrough Entertainment and France’s Millimages and awol animation. In fact, a big draw for Kidstream subscribers is that most of the content, including Breakthrough’s The Adventure of Napkin Man (pictured) and Science Max!, has never been available in the US before.

The streamer’s first acquired feature film, Image Entertainment Corporation’s Walter & Tandoori’s Christmas, will be added to Amazon Channels in December. Kidstream plans to add more fare aimed at two- to nine-year-olds to its library on a monthly basis.
