The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced the nominees for the 2017 International Emmy Kids Awards. Twenty-eight nominees—from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, the Philippines, Singapore, Sweden, South Africa and the UK—were named in seven categories.

Last year, it was announced that short-form winners would be recognized for the first time at the International Emmys gala. Original fiction and non-fiction programs with episodes under 30 minutes were eligible to enter in this year’s competition (short-form series have previously been recognized by the Academy at the International Digital Emmy Awards). The winners of the 2017 International Emmy Kids Awards will be announced at MIPTV in Cannes, France, on April 10, 2018.
