Xilam strikes Italian broadcast deals

A combined 300-plus hours of animated fare is heading to De Agostini Editore and Discovery Italy’s K2 channel.

Xilam has signed a deal with Italian kids TV network De Agostini Editore for more than 115 hours of content, while Discovery Italy’s kids channel K2 has scooped up 200 hours of children’s fare from the French production company.

De Agostini has acquired exclusive pay-TV rights to Xilam’s Oggy & the Cockroaches (pictured), Zig & Sharko and A New Kind of Magic, as well as its latest studio productions Mr Magoo and Moka.

K2, meanwhile, has picked up Rolling with the Ronks, Paprika, Mr Magoo and Moka. The kids channel also renewed its exclusive free-TV rights to Oggy & the Cockroaches, The Daltons and Zig & Sharko.

Xilam’s shows have had a growing presence across Europe with high ratings on key networks like Germany’s Super RTL, Disney Channel Germany and France’s Gulli.
