Imprint, a division of Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group, has signed on to publish a series of novels based on Nelvana’s Mysticons. The fantasy series created by the Corus Entertainment-owned company recently debuted in North America and is the number-one fall program on Corus’ YTV network. (The toon, which features four girls who are transformed into legendary warriors, premiered on Nickelodeon in the US last month.)
The exclusive agreement will kick off in June 2018 featuring novelizations of existing episodes and original middle-grade novels inspired by the series. The first two titles—Quest for Codex and The Fifth Mysticon—will follow the Mysticons as they transform into legendary warriors and work together to defeat evil.
Macmillan joins a growing roster of licensees for the brand, which includes Playmates Toys, Dark Horse Comics and Topps Company.
