ITV children’s channel CITV UK has acquired UK free television rights to animated comedy series Wishfart from Bejuba! Entertainment.

The series is created by John Hazlett, Lienne Sawatsky and Dan Williams. The series, which does not yet have a premiere date set on Canadian net Teletoon, was commissioned by Corus Entertainment and is distributed globally by Bejuba! Entertainment.

ITV is the first broadcaster beyond Teletoon to acquire the series, and will air it on Tuesdays at 5 p.m.

Wishfart is aimed at kids ages six to 12 and follows Dez, a teen leprechaun with wish-granting powers who goes on adventures with his friends Akiko, a ghost girl, and a puffin named, aptly, Puffin.
