Hong Kong-based VTech has debuted new Go! Go! Smart Wheels and Go! Go! Smart Friends playsets. The items feature proprietary SmartPoint and MagicPoint technology and aim to help children ages one to five explore cause and effect relationships and strengthen motor skills through multi-sensory learning.

The Go! Go! Smart Wheels playsets feature SmartPoint locations which, when connected with a SmartPoint vehicle, respond with lights, sounds and music. The Go! Go! Smart Wheels Race & Play Adventure Park, for example, features a roller coaster along with a catapult launcher, spinning Ferris wheel and a kid-powered ramp.

The new Go! Go! Smart Wheels playsets also interact with other Go! Go! Smart Wheels products.

The MagicPoint locations in the Go! Go! Smart Friends playsets, meanwhile, feature music and sounds and are designed to encourage social play.  The Go! Go! Smart Friends Shimmering Seashell Castle (pictured) features three MagicPoint locations that promote engagement, imagination and fine motor skills.

Along with the Go! Go! Smart Friends Sweet Surprises Treat Shoppe and the Go! Go! Smart Wheels Press & Race Monster Truck Rally, the new playsets are available at retail for US$24.99 to US$39.99.

Earlier this year, VTech expanded its Kidizoom children’s wearable line with two new camera-equipped devices–the Kidizoom Action Cam 180 and the Kidizoom Smartwatch DX2. Both products are designed for kids ages four and up.
