Children’s author Todd Parr is set to co-develop a new preschool series with UK-based Spider Eye and US creative services firm SupperTime Entertainment. The untitled series is currently in development, with initial materials expected to be presented at Mipcom in October.
The upcoming series marks the second collaboration between Parr, Spider Eye and SupperTime, as the trio produced a short film for Sesame Workshop in 2016.
The I Love You Book author—who has an especially large following in Asia and Brazil—has written and illustrated more than 40 books, including most recent title Love the World (pictured). Parr writes about positive themes like understanding, compassion and kindness for kids and parents.
Parr was also nominated for a number of awards for his work on TV series ToddWorld, an 26-ep American-Indian-Irish children’s program that aired from 2004 to 2008 on TLC and Discovery Kids.
Spider Eye is the studio behind Disney Junior series Jungle Junction and theatrical feature Moshi Monsters. SupperTime, meanwhile, develops, markets and licenses properties for Discovery Kids and Nickelodeon,
