Yu-Gi-Oh! lands new French licensing rep

4K Media has appointed MJA Licensing as the anime brand's sub-agent in France and select French-speaking territories.

New York-based 4K Media has tapped MJA Licensing as Yu-Gi-Oh!’s new sub-agent in France and select French-speaking territories.

MJA aims to capitalize on the popularity of the anime series by growing licensing and merchandising activities in the region. Other properties in MJA’s portfolio include Boo The World’s Cutest Dog, Monster Jam, Candy Crush, W.R.C., Beast Quest and Pez. 

Last year marked the boy-skewing franchise’s 15th anniversary, and 4Kwhich manages Yu-Gi-Oh! outside of Asiahas been making a number of moves to extend its reach. The company recently signed agreements with Funko and GameStop to release a new line of collectibles globally (excluding Asia).
