Summer is in full swing, but Skechers is ready for back-to-school season with a new footwear collection for girls featuring characters from Moose Toys’ Shopkins brand.

The co-branded SPK by Skechers footwear collection will be sold online and at Skechers retail stores. Items will be available in young girls’ sizes and will be designed, developed and marketed through a multi-year licensing partnership between Skechers and Moose Toys.

Skechers joins Shopkins’ 210-plus licensees and 18 agents around the world.

Since its launch in 2014, the Shopkins brand has expanded to include more than 100 collectibles characters, an animated webisode series and a line of Shoppies dolls. Additionally, Moose Toys announced earlier this year that it would launch its first theatrical production based on the brand this fall. Shopkins Live! will premiere in September and roll out in 75 countries across the country.

Shopkins finished 2016 with more than US$1 billion in retail sales in categories including apparel, bedding, party, stationery, accessories, seasonal and home.
