Turner Asia Pacific has partnered with Korean mobile product developer Qualson to launch a new English-language learning app. The untitled, subscription-based offering is set to launch in South Korea in October, followed by additional markets like Japan, Taiwan and Southeast Asia.

Targeting kids and adults, the app allows users to engage with Cartoon Network shows and characters as they improve their fluency in both listening to and speaking English. Original Cartoon Network shows featured will include We Bare Bears (pictured), The Powerpuff Girls, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball, Uncle Grandpa and Regular Show.

Qualson is behind popular Korean learning app Super Fan. Previously, Qualson has partnered with companies like Samsung and POSCO on English education-based programs.

Earlier this year, Cartoon Network, which is available in 29 countries across Asia Pacific, announced 20 original mobile and console games as part of its portfolio of content for the 2017-18 upfront season. To date, CN’s complete digital and mobile portfolio includes 44 apps.
