French animation studio TeamTO has pre-sold its photorealistic slapstick comedy Take It Easy Mike to France Télévisions and Germany’s Super RTL.

Currently in pre-production, the 78 x seven-minute non-dialog series is scheduled for delivery next year and will air in early 2019.

The series follows Mike the pug’s comedic efforts to court his neighbor’s dog. Unfortunately for Mike, a trio of turtles, a pesky kitten and a pair of raccoons always show up at exactly the wrong time.

Take It Easy Mike is a co-production with Canada’s Digital Dimension. Franz Kirchner (Angelo Rules seasons one and two, Rabbids Invasion) and Antoine Bouron (Rabbids Invasion, Les Petites Betes) are the show’s directors, while UK-based Cake handles worldwide distribution (excluding France, Germany and China).

TeamTO is currently comprised of more than 350 employees across offices in Paris, Bourg-Lès-Valence, L.A. and Beijing.

Along with original series Angelo Rules and My Knight and Me, which recently premiered on Cartoon Network US, the company is also the service studio behind several other hit series, including Skylanders Academy (Activision), PJ Masks (eOne), Elena of Avalor and Sofia the First (both Disney Channels Worldwide).
