Three Tricon Films and Television execs have joined Sonar Entertainment, following the L.A.-based producer/distributor’s acquisition of the Toronto company’s content library.

Ashley Rite, VP of kids and family (pictured); Jeff Hevert, SVP of factual development; and Marc Kell Whitehead, VP of factual production, are among the former Tricon execs joining the US entertainment company. Sonar has yet to announce the roles these execs will take on within the company.

Tricon entered into a purchase agreement with Sonar in April of this year, at which time the company offered employment to Tricon founder and president Andrea Gorfolova.

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Gorfolova had joined Sonar and that the company had completed its acquisition of 1,500 hours of Tricon’s library content, including popular Disney XD kids series Counterfeit Cat. Sonar also acquired Tricon’s kids properties that are in development, including Go Away Unicorn for Disney and Corus.
