Entertainment One (eOne) has signed new licensing agreements for Peppa Pig, bringing the preschool brand’s total number of North American licensees to more than 70.
New partners include American Greetings (social expressions, US and Canada), Colgate (oral care, US), Delta (home furnishings, US) and Innovative Designs (stationery, US).
Additionally, eOne has negotiated contract renewals with a number of North American partners including Candlewick (publishing, US), DecoPac (cake decorating, US and Canada), Fiesta (amusement plush, US and Canada), GBG Beauty (bath and personal care, US), Penwizard (publishing, US), Primary Colors (confectionery/stationery, US and Canada) and Tin Box (tin ware, US).
Peppa Pig currently airs on Nick Jr. US and on Treehouse TV in Canada. Earlier this year, the show made its debut on Nick Jr. India and ramped up retail efforts in the region. In March, eOne strengthened its operations in Latin America with a number of new licensing agreements and appointing Bruna Sawada as regional territory manager for Brazil.
The bolstered agreements are part of eOne’s plans to double Peppa Pig sales by 2020. Globally, the brand generates more than US$1 billion each year, and has more than 800 licensees.
